MedStar Family Choice automatically assigns a Primary Care Provider (PCP) to members who don't select one. At any time, a member may change their PCP assignment. While primary care provider names do not have to be on the Member ID card to be reimbursed for eligible services, it is critical that MedStar Family Choice has up-to-date PCP assignments correctly reflected in our records.
