Mammograms
Women who are 50 and over should receive mammograms.
If you have a family history of breast cancer, you should let your physician know. They may recommend a mammogram earlier or more frequently, or recommend other screening tests.
Mammograms can detect abnormal changes in your breasts. Detecting these changes early can help save your life. Please don't wait. Get your mammogram annually!
Members 50 years and older can receive a $50 MedStar Family Choice Prepaid Mastercard® if they receive their mammogram in 2020.
The MedStar Family Choice Outreach Department will contact you through letters or phone calls to remind you to get this service if we see that you have not received your mammogram. If you need assistance with scheduling this test, please contact us at 800-905-1722 and we will be happy to help you.
Pap smears
Women who are 21 and older should receive Pap smears.
For completing a Pap test, members 21 years and older will eligible for a $100 prepaid card if their name is selected from a drawing done three times per year.
